SYRACUSE — A small business jet diverted to Syracuse Hancock International Airport after the crew reported an in-flight control issue Friday, prompting a response from the Air National Guard and airport rescue crews, officials said.

The aircraft, an Embraer Phenom 300, had departed Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in South Carolina and was en route to Greater Binghamton Airport when the pilot reported a flaps problem. The flaps were believed to be stuck, according to incident details provided.

As the jet approached Syracuse, Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) crews responded and monitored the landing as a precaution. The plane landed without incident, then taxied to the gate under its own power. No injuries were reported.

The aircraft was identified as tail number N329MC. Registration records list the owner as ACED Aviation LLC of Saint Petersburg, Florida. The aircraft was manufactured in 2011 and is described as a fixed-wing, multi-engine jet powered by turbofan engines.
