**EXTENDED FORECAST**
A pleasant day is expected to continue in the Syracuse area on Tuesday, with temperatures rising into the mid-50s by afternoon. Skies will remain mostly sunny throughout the day, with just a slight chance of precipitation. Winds will be out of the northwest at around 10 mph.
As we head into Wednesday, expect more significant rain to move into the region. Temperatures will drop to the low 50s, and winds will pick up to around 15 mph from the west. A slight chance of thunderstorms is also possible by late afternoon.
Looking ahead to Thursday, a cold front will continue to bring heavy rain and gusty winds to the area. Temperatures will drop into the mid-40s by morning, with sustained winds out of the northwest at 20-25 mph. Rain will be likely throughout the day, with some areas potentially seeing over an inch of precipitation.
By Friday, skies are expected to clear, but temperatures will remain cool, in the mid-to-upper 40s. Winds will die down significantly, and a slight chance of showers is possible.
