SUNDAY FORECAST:

A rainy day is expected for the Syracuse area on Sunday, with temperatures ranging from 49° to 58°. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a slight chance of rain in the morning giving way to a chance of rain throughout the day.

Today, expect temperatures to rise steadily through the morning, reaching the mid-50s by late morning. A chance of rain is likely, with precipitation probabilities ranging from 16% to 30% throughout the day. Winds will be out of the northwest at around 5 mph.

Later this evening, showers are expected to continue, with temperatures holding steady in the low-to-mid 50s. Overnight lows will dip to around 52° by midnight.

MONDAY FORECAST:

On Monday, a high-pressure system is expected to move into the area, bringing clear skies and warmer temperatures. Temperatures will rise to the mid-60s by late morning, with highs reaching as far as 71° by early afternoon.

A slight chance of rain is still possible on Monday, but precipitation probabilities remain low throughout the day. Winds will be out of the southeast at around 10 mph.

By early morning, temperatures will have cooled slightly to around 59°, but will rise again throughout the day.

TUESDAY FORECAST:

On Tuesday, a low-pressure system is expected to move into the area, bringing a chance of rain and thunderstorms. Temperatures will remain steady in the mid-60s, with highs reaching as far as 73° by early afternoon.

Precipitation probabilities are increasing on Tuesday, with a chance of rain likely throughout the day. Winds will be out of the south at around 15 mph.

By late evening, showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue, with temperatures holding steady in the mid-60s.

EXTENDED FORECAST:

Looking ahead to Wednesday and Thursday, a high-pressure system is expected to dominate the weather pattern, bringing clear skies and warmer temperatures. Temperatures will rise to the 70s by early afternoon on both days, with highs reaching as far as 78° on Thursday.

A slight chance of rain remains possible throughout the period, but precipitation probabilities remain low. Winds will be out of the southwest at around 10 mph.
